Segways and Canals

We started our day with breakfast on the water! Bagels, eggs, coffee, juice, latte…it was all wonderful! And on our way we saw another bike ramp. It is unbelievable how many bikes are here! There are 950,000 people in Amsterdam and 1.2 million bikes!

After breakfast we were on our to our 2-hour Segway Tour around Amsterdam! We had soooo much fun! It was tricky working our way through the bike traffic but once we got in the less traffic areas it really was so much fun. Our first stop was at a bakery where they made us these little pancakes and gelato. Everything is made from scratch including grinding their own cacao beans.

We got back on the segways and our next stop was at Tony’s Chocolonley’s where they had many flavors of chocolate candy bars that we could sample (and buy!)

After about two hours and fifteen minutes we ended our tour and we were awarded these beers and a card that says “If you can ride here you can tide anywhere!632DB525-D13B-4ACE-9159-75E208AFD0EC

After some down time this afternoon to do a little shopping we gathered for a beautiful canal cruise. We have seen many houses here that are leaning quite a bit and we saw lots of them on the cruise! There are also many house boats that people live in on the canal.

Terry and I ended our stay in Amsterdam with a beautiful dinner date along the canal. We have so enjoyed the sights, sounds, and food in Amsterdam!
