After returning home, Bruce contacted Erwin, the gentleman we met at Eerde, Netherlands about the additional room being built in the windmill as a museum honoring the 907 of the 101st Airborne, our father’s unit. Bruce offered our father’s uniform to be displayed in the museum and Erwin said they would be thrilled to receive it. So Bruce attended the monthly meeting of the Mercer County Historical Society in our hometown, Beulah, to ask if we could have our father’s uniform back in order to have it displayed in Eerde. They agreed with the stipulation that it be noted in the museum that it was on loan from the Mercer County Historical Society.
And so with our father’s uniform in hand he made a stop at the Beulah cemetery to take these photos.
